Hockey Shootout, a instant-win game on a sports set, comes from Evoplay and dates from 2024. This page carries the free-play production — the honest way to learn the rhythm of a round before real money buys a ticket. Quick formats like this run anthology style — many small scenes, back to back, at whatever tempo you set.

The staging of Hockey Shootout, round by round

The whole performance is one gesture. Stake, act, outcome — which makes pacing entirely the player's to set. However the scene is shot, the ticket is priced per round — the staging is free, the trigger is not.

Features and what they do to the runtime

The programme notes for Hockey Shootout:

• Cash Out — you call the curtain: the round ends the instant you take the money.
• Pick Bonus — a pick bonus asks you to choose items and reveal prizes.

So pick bonus stretch the show, while cash out let you call the curtain yourself. A short programme is normal for a instant-win game: the format is the feature, and extra scenes would only slow the point.

The numbers on the playbill

Listed RTP is 96%, in line with the ~96% online norm — a long-run average over an enormous number of rounds; no short run is promised anything. At this tempo the RTP matters more than usual — the per-round levy is small, the round count is not. The medium rating points to a mix of steady small hits and occasional larger ones. Hockey Shootout tops out at 32x the stake: a modest cap, typical of fast formats. Hit frequency lists at 3.48%, so roughly 3 in 100 rounds return something — usually not more than the stake.

Hockey Shootout on the programme scale

On the programme scale Hockey Shootout is a One-act: one-tap rounds, swing 3/5, graded from format and features. One-act games close each scene cleanly: no long features, no waiting sets — just beat, result, next. Sessions run at the tempo you set. A gentler 3/5 swing makes the Hockey Shootout demo a fair preview: ten minutes tells you most of the story. If Hockey Shootout goes real, keep the count visible — One-act games hide the pace inside the fun.

How to price Hockey Shootout in the demo

Our floor reviews run on session logs, and the same discipline prices a game. A five-minute rehearsal for the Hockey Shootout demo:

1. Price the session first: 25 rounds at your intended stake, honestly counted, gives Hockey Shootout's cost per sitting.
2. Fix your exit point for the whole rehearsal — a moving target makes both the pacing and the result unreadable.
3. Keep the count for a week of demos before the first real ticket; habits priced in pretend money are cheap to fix.

Who should take the seat

Best for players who set their own tempo — one decision per scene, one stake per decision, timing players — the scene ends when you say and fans of sports sets. Long-form players will find Hockey Shootout over before the interval.
